Life Happens on a Stage

The Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre and Disability Action Center NW are teaming up for a collaborative fundraising opportunity to purchase a portable chair lift system.

Life happens on a stage and everyone should be able to be a part of it.

The Kenworthy and DACNW are launching a fundraising campaign to purchase a portable chair lift system. This system will be available for use by all persons to access the Kenworthy stage.

The fundraising goal of $30,000 will allow the Kenworthy to obtain a portable chair lift that not only would be used at the Kenworthy, but could be used by other organizations in town.

The fundraising campaign will begin October 2, 2017 and end with a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 27, 2018 World Theater Day. The Kenworthy will feature a free movie on the first Monday of the month from October to March that will highlight persons with disabilities.

Donations made during these free movies will be put toward the fundraising campaign. Currently the Kenworthy has received $4000 in funds. Any funds raised over the $30,000 goal will be allocated to other ADA accessibility projects at the Kenworthy.

To make a donation online please  below. Please be sure and choose the Portable Lift campaign in the drop down menu.
