AsiaPOP!: Exhuma

Tuesday, August 20 at 7 PM

The Habib Institute for Asian Studies presents the Inland Northwest premier screening of EXHUMA as part of their AsiaPOP! Symposium. When a renowned shaman and her protégé are hired by a wealthy family, they investigate a disturbing supernatural illness affecting the first-born children of each generation. With the help of a knowledgeable mortician and a revered geomancer, they trace the affliction to a hidden family grave on sacred ground. As they exhume and relocate the remains, they uncover a much darker force and learn the dangers of disturbing the wrong grave.
Prof. Russ Meeuf (the U of I’s resident horror expert) will provide a brief introduction. Admission is free as part of the Habib Institute’s AsiaPOP! The Korean Wave symposium, so you have no excuse, except that you are too scared.
