Moscow Film Society presents PHANTOM THREAD as part of their Love Languages series. Set in 1950s London, Reynolds Woodcock is a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman, Alma, who becomes his muse and lover. Phantom Thread‘s finely woven narrative is filled out nicely by humor, intoxicating romantic tension, and three impressively committed performances from Daniel Day-Lewis, Vicky Krieps and Lesley Manville.
