The Wildlife Department of the University of Idaho and the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Research Institute present AMERICAN OCELOT & TIGERS OF THE SNOW.
Dive deep into South Texas to meet one of America’s most endangered cats: the ocelot. With about 120 known ocelots remaining, the future of the U.S. ocelot population relies on ranchers, scientists and government agencies working together.
Venture into the dense forests of coastal Siberia to track down the biggest cat on Earth, the elusive Siberian Tiger. Join a team of Russian and American scientists risking their lives to save this highly dangerous creature.
The screening is part of the Tribute to Maurice Hornocker events. The former students of Dr. Maurice Hornocker, former Leader of Cooperative Wildlife Research Unit at the University of Idaho, will be gathering from around the United States for a 3-day celebration of their mentor. Both films are approximately 1 hour and will be followed by a Q&A.
