KPAC presents CITY OF GOD (Cidade de Deus) as part of our Staff Picks series chosen by our very own Kenworthy Staff. This month’s film was picked by Keegan Jones. In the slums of Rio, two kids’ paths diverge as one struggles to become a photographer and the other a kingpin. Cast almost exclusively with non-professionals from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro where this epic crime drama is set, City of God is widely considered one of the best films of the 21st century. Portuguese with English subtitles.
