Luke Gresback presents: Clyde Petri and Friends

Sunday, March 30 at 6:30 PM

Moscow native Luke Gresback will present his latest short film, Clyde Petri Is in Trouble, along with works from fellow members of his Los Angeles-based cast and crew, Sunday, March 30, in Moscow. The free showing will be at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre, 508 S. Main St.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and the film will begin at 6:30. This event falls between screenings at Boise’s FilmFort on March 29 and at Seattle’s National Film Festival for Talented Youth (NFFTY) April 4. Gresback’s film is an official entry in both regional festivals.
A 2017 graduate of Moscow High School, Gresback earned a bachelor’s degree in multimedia art from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles in 2022. He wrote, directed, and edited Clyde Petri Is in Trouble. Gresback sums up the film’s plot as follows: “A terrible guy who lives to seek pleasure is forced to look inward when he smokes a moldy cigarette.”
Joining Gresback for this showing will be Jacob Staudenmaier, the film’s producer; Chris Pickering, director of photography, and Rishabh Trivedi, first camera operator. In addition to Gresback’s 10-minute film, the Kenworthy mini-festival will include short films by Staudenmaier, Pickering and Trivedi, as well as a two-minute commercial project by Gresback.
Following the showing of the films, University of Idaho Professor Emeritus Kenton Bird will moderate a short Q and A of these young filmmakers and actors.
Burgers – similar to those depicted in the Clyde Petri film – and beverages will be served. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be accepted for the Moscow High School Photo Club.
