Cinema Classics: Cool Hand Luke

Wednesday, April 30 at 3 PM

“A caustically witty look at the American South and its still-surviving chain gangs, with Newman in fine sardonic form as the boss-baiter who refuses to submit and becomes a hero to his fellow-prisoners.”
— Variety Staff
KPAC presents a free screening of COOL HAND LUKE as part of our Cinema Classics series. A laid-back Southern man is sentenced to two years in a rural prison, but refuses to conform. Cool Hand Luke remains a landmark of 1960s American cinema, capturing the era’s spirit of rebellion with a sharp, resonant script and one of Paul Newman’s most iconic, career-defining performances.
This free event is part of KPAC’s Idaho Gives week of programming! Learn more about our goal to Pack the Kenworthy with donors.
